Abstract [eng] This master‘s final work is an analysis of circular saw blade design and design requirements. Materials used for circular saws with brazed-on carbide inserts are reviewed. Various quality assurance means are discussed. The aim of this work is to solve the technological problems which arise in the process of manufacturing circular saw blades with brazed-on carbide inserts. Tasks: •to analyse the design and manufacturing stages of circular saw blades with brazed-on carbide inserts; •to analyse available alternative materials and manufacturing methods; •to analyse the influence of manufacturing equipment on the quality of the product; •to analyse the possibilities of improving cooling conditions in the brazing process. In this work, the author describes the manufacturing process, encountered problems and possible solutions. The main issues are excessive radial run-out and deformation along the direction of the rotation axis, caused by overheating of the saw blade during the brazing process. The problem is solved by automating the brazing process and reducing the heated area. The effectiveness of flanges, used for cooling, is also analysed. The influence of these technological modifications on the cost of the product is calculated.
