In the final master’s project there are analyzed the sustainable mobility perspectives of Jonava city. The climate change and its impact on the environment, health and economy are closely connected to transport unsustainable mobility behavior. Urban mobility is mainly planned at the municipal level. Municipal strategic action plans lack of focus on transport issues, in particular applying the principles of sustainable mobility. Abroad sustainable mobility plans are being implemented and in Lithuania it is an innovation that will have to prepare the municipalities with a population of over 25 thousands. Jonava district municipality is one of them. The aim of the final master’s project is to analyze sustainable mobility perspectives of Jonava city. The main objectives of the project are – to consider the principles of sustainable mobility in theoretical aspect; to carry out the analysis of Jonava city sustainable mobility perspectives; to investigate how specialists-experts assess the sustainable urban mobility plans; to find out the main sustainable mobility project implementation principles and apply them in Jonava district municipality; to prepare recommendations to Jonava district municipality for implementation and managing of sustainable mobility project. |
