The goal of this work – to project a water level monitoring system based on optical sensors. In this paper, there are looked over a foreign researches of liquid level measuring based on optical sensors. This work describes the main principles of sensor operations. Furthermore, there are analysed different structures of systems for water level monitoring. In this work is reseached a system based on OTDR measurements. It is made to find out the opportunities of this system for water detection. Moreover there is given a structure of a system based on OTDR reflectometer and GSM/3G camera. In a Python programming language is written a code of a program which can detect a changes of water level. The river level monitoring system is evaluated economically. Investment cost calculations are being made. |
