Abstract [eng] The relevance of the study. Inbound tourism industry includes many services in areas such as catering, accommodation, recreational activities, educational activities, etc., But these volumes increase in the overall level of the country's economic growth. Therefore, inbound tourism is seen as relevant and important business area with a positive impact on Lithuania's economic growth. Research object. Inbound tourism sector in Lithuania. The aim. Investigate the inbound tourism sector on the Lithuanian economy. Research tasks. • To analyze the concept of tourism and development opportunities in Lithuania; • Analyze the inbound tourism sector and the characteristics of the structure; • Rate of inbound tourism development trends in Lithuania; • Investigate inbound tourism on the national economy. Inbound tourism development of Lithuania is a significant economic factor, as foreign tourists spent a significant amount of money rather complements the country's budget. Inbound tourism economic impacts of income, which is derived from tourism, labor, employment in the tourism sector, balance of payments position, investment and development. Inbound tourism rebounded strongly in 2010. It is forecasted that in 2020.
