| Abstract [eng] |
Waste management is an important industrial branch of the Lithuanian economy, which plays an important role in the economy and environmental protection of the country. The establishment of a waste management cluster(s) in Lithuania would attract more investments into scientific research and modern waste recycling technologies, and would make it possible to receive more support from the state and the European Union structural funds. Larger investments would allow development of more active and innovative activities, would help to modernise production at a faster pace, provide higher quality services, increase the efficiency of companies and increase the competitiveness of waste businesses. |
