Men and women equality is one of the core values of the European Union. This value has to be the fundament of every developed country. Despite the aspiration, the gender inequality still exists. Women in Lithuania work in lower paid jobs, women are very rarely seen as leaders in the business sector, they have difficulties when pursuing a career because of the stereotypical attitude towards men and women. Success of the country, in regards to assuring gender opportunity equality, directly depends on how both genders involve in the equal opportunity processes. The Subject of the Work is the gender equality policy implementation. The Goal of the Work is to analyze the gender equality policy implementation in Lithuania in the aspect of women entrepreneurship. In order to reach the goal of the work, some tasks are held: the conception of gender equality policy is explained; the legal regulation of gender equality policy and the part of institutions is discussed; the gender equality policy programs and their implementation is reviewed; in the practical part of the work the gender equality policy implementation in Lithuania is analyzed in the aspect of women entrepreneurship. The Methodology of the Work consists of analyzing the scientific literature and analyzing secondary data. |
