In this presentation, the part of the results of the investigation of possibilities of the formation of the copper selenide layer on the surface of the different fibres is presented. For the modification of the researched fibres, the two-stage adsorption-diffusion process was used. Thread waste from Lithuanian companies was investigated in the work. The aim of these studies is to evaluate the possibility of evaluating the formation of the layer by observing the change in mass after each cycle of modification. The presence of a layer of CuxSe particles on the surface of the treated fibres was confirmed by SEM analysis. The mass gain of modified fibres can be taken as an indicator of the coating process; however, in the case of natural fibres (especially cellulosic), the possibility of fine fibres pieces falling off should be considered. |
