| Abstract [eng] |
The research of the final master’s thesis examines messages from a public expatriate forum. Mathematical data classification algorithms are used to identify the types of social support expressed in the messages and to create a synthetic data set for further analysis. During data preparation and analysis, text cleaning, embedding, clustering and classification methods are applied. The results of the study show that individuals are most likely to seek informational support in the forum selected for the research. Usually, informational support is given to them as well. Emotional support is sought relatively infrequently, while cases of seeking instrumental support have not been identified. |
