A sociological study of the need to develop teachers' digital competencies revealed that organizing the educational process at a distance encourages teachers to develop digital competencies to work using distance learning systems. The aim of the research is to create a support system for the development of teachers' digital competencies, which facilitates the remote work of teachers and provides an opportunity to manage effectively and apply information technologies in the process of distance education. In the research project, a support system for the development of teachers' digital competencies was designed and developed. The system enabled educators to develop digital skills to work with the tools of the system „Microsoft Office 365 for Education“ and apply them in the distance learning process. The support system for the development of teachers' digital competencies was implemented in Ukmergė Užupio Basic School, using the tools of the educational institution's „Microsoft Office 365 for Education“ system. The study revealed that the developed and tested support system is very useful for teachers and they would like to use it in the future. Educators have been instructed to improve the support system by adding instructions and a FAQ page for new features in „Microsoft Office 365“ and a variety of online tools that can be adapted for education.
