Abstract [eng] |
With the development of technology, people's lives have improved, monotonous work is performed by technological devices, which saves time for leisure or work. It all depends on adapting technology to everyday work or leisure. And when it comes to work, the time saved increases employee efficiency, which allows you to do more or use less resources in the same amount of time. With the development of technology, people are opening their doors to the world more and more, access to information has never been easier than it is today, and the opportunity to connect with a person in another part of the world offers unique opportunities to innovate. During the Third Industrial Revolution, it became available to the average person, now understood as a natural thing, to buy a car, various kitchen utensils. And during the Fourth Revolution, the same thing is happening with information being shared very widely. Investment in technology is one of the most sustainable elements in the long run, driving productivity growth. Investments in new, more modern equipment help manufacturers make more efficient use of time and increase production. However, the situation in Lithuania is somewhat different, the currently very rapidly growing wages and the declining potential number of employees threaten the long-term productivity outlook to catch up with or even exceed the European average. This unsatisfactory result is not happening without a reason, so it is necessary to examine which technological investments and in which areas of activity would be the most effective solution for increasing productivity. |
