Abstract [eng] |
This Master’s thesis aims to analyze punching shear failure which happens to occur in the connection of flat slab and column. During the analysis, the main criteria of punching shear failure together with the most accurate and reliable calculation method were identified. In the analytical part of the thesis, different design proposals were covered when reinforced concrete slab is without shear reinforcement and when shear stirrups and double headed studs are used. Calculation methods and design assumptions for punching shear resistance of those different design proposals where analyzed. Theoretical and experimental resistance comparison helped to find the most accurate and reliable design proposal. In this thesis, the influence of compressive concrete strength, longitudinal tensile reinforcement ratio, column perimeter and effective slab height ratio and shear reinforcement for the accuracy of calculation results were analyzed. Based on obtained results, restrictions were implemented for the individual components, which helped to improve the accuracy of the calculation methodologies and to reduce the dispersion of the results. |
