The project analyzes the theoretical regularities of sulfuric acid production, reviews the raw materials used in sulfuric acid production, and discusses known technological solutions. The principles and differences of operation of elemental sulfur combustion furnaces common in industry are discussed, converters are used, absorption systems and their changes are reviewed. The aim of the work was to evaluate the possibilities of modernization to produce cleaner sulfuric acid. The production technology was analyzed, the necessary equipment was selected, Monsanto's heat recovery and utilization system HRS was selected, and the absorption tower materials and heat balances were calculated. The work presents construction solutions, economic and financial assessment of technology, environmental analysis, measures to ensure the safety and health of workers. |
