This is the final master project of alkylation unit, which has the input of 525 000 tons per year. The feed in order to avoid catalyst losses is supplied through water adsorbers in which moisture is removed. Downstream of adsorbers is supplied to reaction zone where stream is mixed with concentrated sulphuric acid. Product from reaction zone further flows through adsorbers in which all of acidic compound is removed. Final unit product – alkylate flows directly to the storage tanks. The work either summarizes the technological calculations of the reactor-heat exchanger, centrifugal pump and columns, the material balances were made. Particular attention was paid to the safety and health of works, occupational risks, occupational hygiene and fire safety were assessed. Physical, chemical, ergonomic and psychosocial factors in the workplace were assessed, and personal protective equipment was selected. Moreover, economic and financial calculations were evaluated, environmental analysis was performed, construction and structural design solutions were designed, possibilities of pollution and reduction of waste were considered, and the technological scheme of the unit was presented. |
