Abstract [eng] |
Cultivation of the stevia plant is globally widespread. Stevia contains natural sweeteners, which are commonly used in the food and drink industry, often as sugar substitute. Stevia plant also contains a large amount of bioactive substances that have positive properties for the human body and often used in medicine. As the demand for natural plants increases, plant growth regulators are increasingly used in agriculture. These substances increase yields, protect plants from environmental stress or various insects and pathogens. However, plant cultivation in vitro is becoming more common. This method of cultivation allows to regulate and create sterile and optimal growth conditions. |
