Abstract [eng] |
With the rapid development of Internet technologies, the dissemination of information is rapidly changing, and the internet has become an inseperable part of people’s studies, work, and lives. Interactivity becomes part of the learning process that enriches the learning content. Learners are more curious and at the same time very are different, the speed that they manage to acquire knowledge and the ways they prefer to learn are different. Traditional methods of presenting learning material fails to keep the learners` attention, and the benefits of multimedia technologies are not always exploited. The aim of this work is to improve students` attention retention using interactive content that was developed with methodology for creating interactive multimedia content. To achieve the goal analysis of the need for interactivity, how interactive content for learners can be created and presented, and by what means, was performed. The design part presents the methodology for creating interactive content and the requirements and operation schemes of the developed tools. During this work open educational resources were developed that consist of videos, interactive learning, and testing tools. The usefulness of applying the developed tools as open educational resource programs in engineering studies is presented in an article of the ALTA’20 conference publication. To find out the usefulness and effectiveness of interactive tools for maintaining attention, a study of higher education students was conducted. Based on the results of the study, the format of the submitted content was found to be potentially useful. |
