In this work, the analysis and testing of the most common automatic tuning methods for various control objects is performed and recommendations for their application are given. Adaptive control methods and automatic tuning methods applied to non-stationary objects are also reviewed. The literature review describes in more detail the implementation of different methods of adaptive control systems and automatic tuning of PID controllers. Various formulas for calculating PID controller parameters are given. Detailed information on the method used in the ABB ECA600 controller, VS – tuner, NOMAD – autotuner and Siemens auto – tuning methods is provided. The analyzed methods were implemented in MATLAB / SIMULINK program. Investigations of realized auto – tuning algorithms with different objects were performed and their efficiency was investigated. The results and conclusions are presented, which, based on the obtained results, recommend which automatic adjustment method to use for a different object. |
