Parkinson’s disease is a neuronal disease that affects more and more people every year. Although Parkinson’s disease is incurable, its progression can be stopped or slowed down. It is important to detect this disease as early as possible and take actions as the progression of the disease can lead to complete bedridden. One of the first symptoms is voice changes which can often go unnoticed. These changes include decreased voice volume, tone and sound monotony, inconsistent pauses, uneven speaking rushes, jitter, shimmer. In this work we examine how human voice recordings and machine learning methods can be used to recognize Parkinson’s disease. In this document you can find the analysis of the problem area, the details of the performed experiment and the obtained results, discussed previously developed system. All conclusions are presented at the end. |
