Four different pneumatic vehicle engines were reviewed during the final master’s project. The principles of their operation, experimental data, general characteristics, numerical graphs and tables are described. Pneumatic cylinders, their structure, principle of operation and the most important parameters are examined. Pneumatic scheme of pneumatic motor is designed. A pneumatic motor, the operating principle of which is based on the operation of two double-acting pneumatic cylinders, is analyzed and described. Designed pneumatic motor with its essential components. The most important components of a pneumatic motor are examined. The most important characteristics influencing the operation of the engine, which show the force, air consumption, energy content of the air tanks, air losses in the system, and their results are presented graphically. Pneumatic motor crankshaft strength, displacement and reserve ratio calculations were performed. An experimental study of the parameters of a pneumatic engine would be performed, calculations of engine power, air consumption, pressure loss, vehicle distance and speed would be performed, and the results would be presented in graphical expression. Karting test was performed, maximum karting speed, torque and power were measured, maximum distance traveled was measured. Compare the calculated experimental results with the actual results of the designed kart. |
