Abstract [eng] Lithuania is an industrialized country, and the printed media sector makes a significant contribution to the success of a production manufacturing industry. The European commercial printing industry has faced significant challenges in recent years due to declining demand for graphic printing in various fields. Some technological innovations are the most important driving force that can remain a competitive context for market globalization and digitalisation in various industries. Technological innovation is primarily based on specific technologies and an understanding of the knowledge of how to apply them in product development and process improvement. Customers that are technologically literated and constantly demanding for innovation, can accelerate the development of the company and reduce the cost of innovation developement, especially if they are actively involved in product development. However, it is important to understand how to properly involve customer into the process of creating technological innovation in order to achieve the best results for the print media industry.
