Abstract [eng] The recent growing interest in the textile and clothing industry in sustainable and environmentally friendly materials demonstrates the importance of finding and researching materials that are less polluting and can replace the traditional textiles used today. One such material is the bacterial cellulose film, which is extracted during the natural fermentation of the well-known kombucha drink. The potential of bacterial cellulose is enhanced by the fact that this material is not new in other fields and, based on already known research, the bacterial cellulose production technology complies with the principles of ecology and sustainability, has no negative impact on the environment, is harmless to human health and has excellent physical properties. However, it is the bacterial cellulose film grown in the beverage medium that has not been well studied and there is a lack of research and information on its characteristics to be applicable to the clothing industry. The aim of the dissertation is to evaluate the applicability of untreated bacterial cellulose obtained during the fermentation of kombucha to the clothing industry and to determine the influence of washing and chemical treatment on the properties of the film. During the research of the dissertation, the evaluation and recommendations of the application of raw bacterial cellulose to the clothing industry were presented: the physical properties of the bacterial cellulose film were determined. After evaluating the results of the experiments, the most efficient storage conditions of the untreated bacterial cellulose film and the most suitable drying temperature, taking into account the physical properties of the film, suggestions for further experiments were presented. During the preparation of the dissertation, relevant studies were performed analyzing the washing of bacterial cellulose film using 0.5% NaOH solution and treatment using the traditional textile chemical reagent 1,3-dimethylol-4,5-dihydroxyethylene urea.
