Abstract [eng] In friction stir spot welding process study it is reviewed the researches that has been made. Most of the scientific researches states that friction stir spot welding is very well applied for modern production. The experimental part of investigation has a several parts of different experiments. Aluminum alloys AL5754 and AL1050 was subjected for a several experiments to observe force that is generated in process. Copper M2 and brass CuZn37 was tested on a different process conditions. Friction stir spot welding process parameters tool rotational speed, plunge speed, stir time are changed in experiments. Examination of force dependence on process parameters was conducted and offered a solutions to reduce axial force. Analysis of welding point cross-section geometry shows the process parameters influence on welding point quality. In process simulation part a process model was created with Abaqus/Explicit. Results generated during simulation and experiment values are compared. Conclusions are made based on experimental analysis and after comparing process simulation data with experiments.
