The goal of this research is to investigate modernized test stand of locomotive electrical machines influence to power grid main parameters by modeling established states The research was done by modeling in MATLAB Simulink environment. Investigation of uncontrolled, semi-controlled and fully controlled converters modifications was done, using phase angle and space vector modulation. Also investigation of electrical converter with capacitor filter was done. Converter load is 180 kW DC motor. Main grid parameters that was captures is: power factor, interfacial harmonics distortion, efficiency coefficient and grid currents harmonic distortion for each power converter while the grid transformer rated power was changed. Research results has revealed, that the most suitable converter is fully controlled converter with IGBT valves and capacitor filter, using space vector modulation. By increasing rated power of substation, power factor, voltage and current harmonic distortions are improving. |
