In this paper control system of the air – ammonia mixture preparation process in the nitric acid production unit, which operates in SC „Achema“, is investigated. Literature review contains information about control system structures for chemical process control, controller tuning methods and analysis of nitric acid production technological process. From a control point of view air – ammonia mixture preparation process is investigated. When doing investigation, step response experiments were carried out and transfer function models of the processes were identificated. In further work, identificated transfer functions where used for modeling dynamics of ongoing processes during air – ammonia mixture preparation. A control system model of air – ammonia mixture preparation process was created, controller tuning is accomplished and simulation of control system behaviour is carried out. At the end of this paper an analysis and comparison of simulation results is supported. |
