Abstract [eng] The purpose of this research is to describe and investigate wind power generator with energy storage system. The analysis of generated power dependence on different time intervals is carried out. The most suitable interval of time is chosen in order to reduce power fluctuations generated by wind generator. Energy storage system is used for it. An overview of the technology used in the electrical energy storage devices is analysed its application areas are considered. The most suitable electrical energy storage is selected to investigative 250kW wind power plant. Calculations of capacity of the battery for investigative wind power plant are also described. The charge / discharge time dependent characteristics are compared in two different ways: 1. Battery’s charge / discharge time dependent characteristics when additional controller is not used; 2. Battery’s charge / discharge time dependent characteristics using PID controller. An algorithm of battery’s charge / discharge rate is created.An algorithm which controls the output of wind power plant using recent forecast is also submitted. The model of 250kW wind power plant using energy storage with intelligent controller is created in order to reduce the generated power fluctuations.
