Abstract [eng] The aim of master's final work is to do bicycle lock‘s remote control feasibility study and design a new gear for the lock. At present, the lock is operated with in a smartphone installed program (gadget) using Bluetooth technology, but the operating system with Bluetooth module consumes a significant part of the battery. In addition it is extremely important for the lock to be operated for at least 7 days without recharging the battery. In this case, there would not be created a problem, which could arise if it would be necessary to charge the battery daily. At the same time, user's benefit would be increased, because it would save his/her time. The theoretical part review of registered patents noted that many devices, similar in it’s operational systems and functionality, have been patented in early 2014, which confirms, that this device is innovative and has a wide range of development opportunities. In the media and in several magazines were also mentioned about prominent companies, which informed about creating similar device prototypes. Since, at the moment there is not similar product in the market, which would be accessible to the public and you could buy. In the experimental part cylindrical spur gears drive was designed and tested in a motion simulation in order to fully meet object’s functionality. Taking into account the financial capabilities the drive prototype was made of ABS plastic. RFID management system was developed and tested by monitoring it’s power consumption during communication. The results were compared with energy consumption when „Bluetooth“ technology was used.
