Abstract [eng] Energy saving and efficient use of its resources, as well as producers and consumers to use local and renewable waste energy resources are the key to our country's energy policy objectives defined in the national energy strategy the european union in recent years, more and more attention is paid to the improvement of air quality escalating global warming theme, in an effort to draw public attention to the emission of pollutants into the air. the paper analyzes the legislation, statistics, directives, national programs, regulations related to energy efficiency in public buildings. one of the most serious inefficient use of energy lithuania grounds - very poor for most public buildings thermal performance , they need a lot of energy to heat. heat and electricity production too little use of environmentally friendly renewable energy sources such as geothermal , solar and wind energy. create action goals - lithuania 's energy independence by 2020. ensuring lithuania's energy security and promoting competitiveness . this strategy is aimed states that energy efficiency in the field until 2020 will be achieved every year 1.5 % increase efficiency and thus strengthening lithuania 's energy independence , competitiveness and sustainable development. research object - public buildings. objective of the research - through cleaner production principles and renewable energy sources to evaluate the energy efficiency potential in public buildings . objectives: 1. perform initial and final energy consumption in the statistical analysis; 2. to analyze the legal and scientific instruments related to energy efficiency and renewable energy resources in public buildings; 3. to increase energy efficiency techniques that can be applied to public buildings; 4. to propose innovations to increase energy efficiency, cleaner production through preventive methods , experiment selected public building and perform feasibility analysis. 5. to evaluate the environmental performance of the alternatives after installation, experiment selected object.
