The aim of research was to create and produce functional and modern jacquard bedspread designed for children by creating and properly selecting design of the bedspread and weaves according to weave coherence, contrast and stability of fabric structure. In this study innovative weave patterns suitable for weaved jacquard bedspread designed for children were created according to dominant fashion trends of such textile products, in which Lithuanian folk traditions and folklore are combined with fabrics designs created using new digital instruments and technologies. Also suitability of fabrics use by weaving woolen jacquard bedspread for children was analysed. 27 created weaves, which were supposed for weaving of woolen bedspread for children together with negative of weave, were investigated. The main investigated weaves properties: weave factor P, estimating weave coherence, new suggested weave contrast factor K and fabric firmness factor estimating stability of fabric structure. Also it was allowed into ratio of fabrics weft and warp and established limits of fabrics area density, i.e. into empirical limits of fabric designing area. Weaves, the values of coherence, contrast, fabric firmness factors of which correspond to requirements, were considered as suitable for use for weaving jacquard bedspread designed for children. |
