Abstract [eng] |
The aim of this final master project – to investigate the seismic impact on the tower structure. Perform structural analysis simulation of the tower structure without bracing and compare it to the same structure with bracing. For calculations metal members of the structure are used, which consists of HEB300 profile columns and rigidly connected HEB700 beams at the top of the tower. The first part reviews the main ideas of structural vibrations, the requirements of Eurocode and recommendations for the design of buildings in seismic zones. After selecting preliminary parameters of structure, the periods of vibrations are calculated in different directions in order to form elastic response spectra and perform other calculations related to vibrations of structure. Three models of the tower are generated – one without bracing and two with different types of bracing. Tower without bracing is designed in order to compare results with calculations according Eurocode, meanwhile bracing for other models are selected to determine what actual impact they have on tower and how it would affect the results. |
