Abstract [eng] In today’s information society it is required to deal with large amounts of information. During the ICT and scientific communication process changes, there is a need constantly improve and develop researchers information competence. Researchers are grown learners with high competence in various scientific areas as well as specific needs. In their working area scientists faces with a large amounts of information, so it is important to know how to manage that information. Scientific activity covers many areas, researcher faces with complicated information, it is required additional knowledge how to manage it. Information competence covers complicated information management processes, so this competence is necessary to gain for researcher. Information competence should be integral part of the investigator’s activities, it is acquired during the scientific communication process. In the each stage of this process researcher acquires knowledge and skills, needed for complicated information management. Changing scientific communication process requires to rate, what training content is appropriate for researcher and what skills training demand is the most urgent during the changes.
