Rapid spread of ICT into various fields does not overpass vocational training so that the competences acquired by the students of vocational education centres would satisfy the needs of labour market and the gap between ICT used in educational processes and national economy would be reduced; therefore, it is necessary to apply ICT effectively in the educational process, improve teachers of vocational training and students' skills to use ICT tools. The necessity of ICT application is noted as essential by various authors' research, programmes and projects prepared by the Government of Lithuania in order to modernise educational process, however, there is a lack of research that would reveal general viewpoint into ICT application possibilities in vocational training. Thus, the aim of this paper is to reveal ICT application possibilities in vocational education. The following problem questions were raised: What are the possibilities of ICT application in vocational education? What ICT are used in vocational education? Object of the research - ICT application in vocational education. Aim of the research - to reveal ICT application possibilities at X vocational education centre. |
