The final master's project is designed to analyze Lithuanian construction sector factors of the development. The construction sector importance is researched not only in scientific studies, but also is analyzed in international and national political and legal documents. The world has various strategies for overcoming and developing the crisis in the construction sector, various countries have systems to promote and manage construction sector ‘s productivity. Therefore, it is important to analyze the economic factors and indicators affecting the Lithuanian construction sector to assess the relationship of the sector development with the country's economic, political, legal, technological, institutional, social, cultural, ethical, and other environmental factors. The aim of this master’s final degree project is to evaluate Lithuanian construction sector factors of the development. In order to achieve the aim of the work, were formulated tasks: to analyze Lithuanian construction sector importance of the development and to single out the problems; to assess the interaction between the construction sector and the economic development process; to analyze the theoretical construction sector factors and indicators determining the development; to study Lithuanian construction sector macroeconomic environment and development trends; to assess the relationship between the construction sector economic indicators and the changes in the main country macroeconomic indicators. The study was conducted based on the analysis and comparison of the Lithuanian construction sector and the main economic indicators for 2009 - 2019. Correlation and regression analysis methods were used for statistical data analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the construction sector impacts an important role in the country economy. Construction sector creates and manages an urban environment consisting of infrastructure, commercial and industrial buildings, and residential buildings. The construction industry size and productivity are enough important for society needs. The results of the regression analysis showed that the correlation coefficients between the country’s volumes of construction works and GDP, number of employed in the construction sector, average wages in the country and construction sector material investments are significant. The statistical significance evaluation also confirmed that the correlation coefficients of these indicators were significant. Data of all strongly correlated indicators were presented in scatter plots and were calculated coefficients of determination, which reaffirmed that the variables included in the regression analysis were reliable and their relationship was closely related to construction sector volume of performed work changes. |
