Abstract [eng] |
The dissertation describes a new method of combined electrospinning and examines its suitability to produce air filters. The literature review discusses the issue of air pollution and existing air filtration technologies. The methodology describes the research process and the combined electrospinning technology. Studies have shown that filters formed by the method of melt electrospinning are not efficient enough for air purification. However, the filters formed by this method have a large distribution of fibre diameters and low air pressure drop, so it was decided to take advantage of these properties. The prototype fibre printing apparatus, based on combined melt and solution electrospinning principles, was designed. The novel method for production of mixed nano-submicrometer and supermicrometer fibre diameter structures was developed. The blending of nano and sub-micron fibres into coarse fibrous media increases filtration quality factor. Higher amount of nano and sub-micron fibres within such composite materials resulted in a higher filtration quality factor. |
