Abstract [eng] |
Waste incineration, using their energetic properties, is one of the waste utilization methods (only waste, that is not suitable for further processing, re-use or composting). The possibilities of increasing energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact at non-hazardous waste incineration plants were evaluated by applying Cleaner Production methodology. Improvement of the Selective Non-Catalytic Treatment (SNCR) system has reduced NOx emissions by 16.8% and ammonia water consumption by over 27% within analyzed object – UAB „Fortum Klaipėda“. Usage excess heat energy for cooling energy production in absorption refrigeration equipment will allow increasing energy efficiency of co-generation equipment by 8.2%. Expected CO2 reduction – 20 kg MWh-1 of produced energy. |
