Abstract [eng] With the rapid development of renewable energy production technologies, the world is increasingly producing electricity from it. It is very difficult to accurately forecast the amount of electricity produced from renewable energy sources. This reduces the reliability of the power system. The paper develops an IEEE 9 bus system model to evaluate the impact of renewable energy sources on system reliability. The model consists of a power plant G1 with a constant frequency synchronous generator, a power plant G3 with a variable frequency synchronous generator and a wind farm. All power plants are connected by a transmission network, according to the IEEE 9 bus system model. A short-circuit model is connected to the transmission network, which allows a detailed study of the impact of renewable energy sources on the electricity system. Studies show that renewable energy sources affect the system voltage and its frequency.
