Abstract [eng] A short review of potential applications of sensory analysis in scientific research and for practical uses is presented. An overview of the main methods of sensory analysis and consumers research is given. The adoption and practical application of international methods of sensory analysis enables development of internal sensory panels in Lithuanian food enterprises. It can help to solve problems in the area of quality control and quality assurance. The descriptive sensory analysis and related consumer research require the use of independent professional sensory laboratories.
