Abstract [eng] Samples of raw milk delivered to the State Laboratory “Pieno tyrimai” from different regions of Lithuania were used for determining inhibitors. 1.9 % of “positive” samples (with inhibitors) were determined using agar-diffusion test with Bacillus stearothermophilus var. calidolactis. Confirmation of these results by disk assay resulted in 0.8 % “positive” samples. Penicillins were found in 86 % of the “positive” samples. Penicillins were found in 47 % “positive” samples in June, and in 95 % “positive” samples in September–November. Other groups of inhibitors – tetracyclines, sulphonamides, aminoglycosides and macrolides – were found in 24, 55, 34 and 19 % samples resp. of the total number of “positive” samples and 0.19, 0.44, 0.27 and 0.15 %, of the total number of samples. In the majority of the samples several groups of inhibitors (rather than one) were identified.
