Abstract [eng] In this thesis is described citric acid production by fermentation process from various fermentation media. For fermentation Aspergillus niger DSM 821 filamentous fungi is used. In order to produce maximum concentration of citric acid various fermentation conditions and fermentation medium itself were changed. Selected medium’s composition was manipulated so that best conditions for fermentation would be met. Obtained results from experiments were evaluated and decisions were made which factors had biggest impact on citric acid production by Aspergillus niger DSM 821 microbial culture.
