Abstract [eng] The two-stage conversion of methane to water vapor is one of the most advanced and common methods of hydrogen production in the world. In the master's thesis, this technology is reconstructed by replacing the gas heater with an additional coil, which is installed in the heat recovery apparatus. The paper states that such changes can save up to 800 m3/h of gas. Drawings illustrating the reconstruction is and construction part presented in the paper. Financial and economic calculations were also performed, the payback period of the reconstruction investment was calculated, the costs and the company's profit before and after the change of technology were compared. The damage to the environment has been assessed, and it is estimated that less nitrogen oxides, which have the greatest negative impact on the environment, are emitted after the reconstruction. Taking into account the limit values for harmful substances an analysis of the safety and health of workers has been carried out, preventive measures for harmful working conditions have been presented. An evacuation plan for the control panel is also provided.
