Abstract [eng] |
The aim of the work is to develop and test a laboratory, combined advanced oxidation and biologically activated carbon technology laboratory model for the treatment of water contaminated with difficult biodegradable pharmaceutical substances. POBAA technology is a potential tool to remove all critical contaminants in contaminated water. However, we cannot draw an unequivocal conclusion from the studies carried out alone, many tests are still required: to change the operating conditions of the reactor and to use even wider range of pharmaceutical compounds. This would further assess the larger group of drugs and their effects on the environment and human bodies. |
