In the article the importance of empowering environment in the process of successful competence development is analysed. This particular environment fosters individual's positive approach to lifelong learning. The literature study was carried out. In the first part of the article the notion of competence, competence development and models are analysed. In the second part of the article main understandings of empowering environment are desribed and relation of this particular environment with competence development is revealed. Main conclusion that competence development in empowering environment is successful was stated. |
