Abstract [eng] The paper covers the analysis of the latest Codex Alimentarius standards for milk products. The standards, approved in 2006 were analysed. The materials relating consideration of these standards prior to approval are discussed. Draft standards for milk products, that are in the 5/8 step of Codex procedure were analysed too. The international standards intended for quality evaluation and analysis of milk products and recommended by the Codex Alimentarius Commission are also reviewed. Ways and possibilities for the implementation in Lithuania of the provisions of the Codex Alimentarius standards and international (ISO) standards for milk products are reviewed.
