Abstract [eng] The difurancoumarin derivatives known as aflatoxins are highly toxic fungi metabolites belonging to the vast class of mycotoxins that may contaminate foods and feeds when storage conditions favour fungal growth. Because of potential health hazards for humans, levels of aflatoxins are monitored throughout the world. The aim of this study was to investigate in row milk and yogurt the level of contamination by aflatoxin M1. ELISA immunochemical method was used. After investigating of 18 commercial yogurt samples it was found that the concentration of aflatoxin M1 was below the detection limit 5 ng/kg. Nine samples (13.8 %) of 65 row milk from seven Lithuania’s districts were contaminated with aflatoxin M1. Determined concentration ranging from 5.2 to 7.9 ng/kg.
