The problems of tourism service quality research, evaluation and improvement are formulated, theoretical and practical aspects of evaluation of quality of accommodation services, presented by various Lithuanian and foreign authors, are analyzed and summarized, and quality research models are given in this article. The problematic issues related to the accommodation service quality evaluation factors and criteria, the identification and use of the most appropriate models of service quality in hotel business are examined in detail. The analysis of features of tourism services system is done, the essential points of hotel services quality assessment models are revealed, the service quality in hotels according to state regulation is assessed, the provider and consumer levels and opportunities for improving the quality of the service are proposed.
