Abstract [eng] |
Trials on the effect of planting material of different health status on fruit tree growth, yield and fruit quality were conducted at the Lithuanian Institute of Horticulture during 2003–2006. Certified virus free and not tested trees of cvs. ‘Šampion’ and ‘Jonagold’ on M.9 and M.26 rootstocks were tested. Low concentrations of Apple chlorotic leave spot virus (ACLSV) and Apple stem groowing virus (ASGV) viruses were detected in not certified planting material of cv. ‘Šampion’ in 2005 and Apple stem groowing virus (ASGV) in not certified planting material on M.9 of cv. ‘Jonagold’ in 2006. Concentration of viruses had tendency to increase. Virus free trees had stronger vegetative growth (total shoot length and stem diameter) at planting year than not tested ones. During second and fourth year in the orchard vegetative and generative development of apple trees and fruit weight did not depend on health status of planting material. |
