This paper describes a system of gaze tracking programs for analyzing software source code files. The program system consists of a code editor (IDE) extension and a web system. The purpose of the system is to help software developers ensure the quality of the product being developed by improving the quality of code reviews. The resulting gaze tracking data makes it possible to identify problem areas faced by programmers. The literature review analyzes similar gaze tracking systems, highlights their advantages and disadvantages, as well as existing gaze observation techniques and metrics. The research part of the work presents the results of two experiments, one with a third-party open source tool, and the other with the developed system described in this work. Both studies determine the complexity of the program code and the skills of the participants. |
