Abstract [eng] |
This master's thesis presents a newly created methodology which helps to educate student's information literacy competencies based on their learning styles. The main idea of this methodology is that course participants voluntarily identify their learning styles and based on them independently act in the online course about information literacy competencies. In the analytical part of the work, the concepts of information literacy and educational experiences in Lithuanian and foreign libraries were analyzed. In the same part of the work were reviewed the definitions of learning styles and David Kolb's experiential learning model was analyzed. In the project part of the work,the online course of information literacy has been developed and covers 5 dedicated topics, which enable to personally develop learners' information literacy skills in the most convenient way for them to assimilate the learning material: reading, interactively getting acquainted with the learning material or watching videos. |
