Nowadays, with the increasing globalization, news, the amount of information and its availability have spread. Published information appears on news portals, it is available to everyone and at any time. For this reason, research to find out the impact of information signals on stock market has also become more popular. Some research suggest that various information signals can affect firms‘stock prices, but most of research has been conducted in the world‘s largest stock markets. In the case of smaller stock markets, including the Baltic countries, not enough researches has been conducted to examine the impact of certain information signals on stock prices, especially how stocks reaction changes in the context of economic fluctuations. Therefore, the aim of this work is to study about the information signals affecting the stock markets and to analyse the reaction of the Baltic stock markets to the information signals in the context of cyclical economic fluctuations. |
