The author reflects on the importance of researchers and their initiatives to environmental protection. He cites the instances where there is scientific uncertainty and a preliminary evaluation which shows potential adverse effects on the environment wherein the action should be avoided even if risk has not been proven. She notes that careful management for natural resources is needed without destroying future supplies since these resources are not inexhaustible. |
