Abstract [eng] |
Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) is distinguished from regular concrete by it‘s enhaced mechanical properties and gives residual tensile strength to concrete. Because of the natural chaotic dispersion of steel fibers it is hard to determine the residual tensile strength of concrete without performing additional tests. This masters thesis presents the calculation method of residual tensile strength using an analytical and an empirical calcution method without performing additional tests. Relying on the use of other authors test results safety factors are derived by comparing test and theoretical calculation results of residual tensile strength. This work consists of an introduction, a body that consists of three parts: literature analysis, data analysis and application of calculation methods, after that conclusions of calculations are remarked, referenced are mentioned and a couple of annexes are presented. The introduction gives a a view of general use of steel fibers, this works purpase, the tasks to achieve it and a short list of residual tensile strength application examples. |
