Abstract [eng] |
Demographic ageing is recognized as a global problem of the modern era. As the number of older people grows, so does the need for living space adapted for the elderly. An important task is to provide sufficient thermal comfort and air quality parameters. The Master's final project investigated the parameters of thermal comfort and air quality in a nursing home for the elderly. The analysis of the literature was carried out. Relative humidity, temperature, temperature gradient were calculated. Surveys were conducted to complement the natural studies and to evaluate the building. The air temperature and relative humidity during the winter season were found to be below the recommended values for the elderly. To find the best combination of heating and ventilation systems, a CFD model was developed. 12 different cases were analyzed and it was determined that the maximum thermal comfort in the room would be when the room is ventilated by mechanical ventilation system and heated by underfloor heating. |
